Comprehensive Eye Exams

Comprehensive eye exams are critical in order to identify eye health and vision needs. A comprehensive eye exam is an examination that includes a variety of tests. The tests may include stereopsis testing, colour vision testing, contrast sensitivity and more. These exams provide information about your eyesight’s health, such as if you have glaucoma or macular degeneration.

What does a comprehensive eye exam involve?

A comprehensive eye exam is a full evaluation of the health and function of your eyes. It includes a complete eye health history, refraction, visual acuity testing, intraocular pressure measurement (IOP), and assessment of the ocular surface.

Ms Ganesh will conduct this full comprehensive eye exam to diagnose any underlying conditions that may be contributing to vision problems.

How often should I get a comprehensive eye exam?

It is important to get a comprehensive eye exam at two year intervals. There are many reasons for this. One of the reasons is that our eyes are exposed to harmful UV rays and other environmental factors that can affect our vision.

Another reason is that sometimes we don’t notice changes in our vision and it’s only when we get a comprehensive eye exam that we realize how much our vision has changed.
